Happy Memorial Day, everybody!

I’m feeling especially patriotic this Memorial Day Weekend. I learned that Dayton, Ohio (my hometown!) conducted a peaceful, city-wide counter-protest against the KKK on Saturday. #NoHateInDayton became the unofficial slogan as the entire city unified its voice to speak out against hate. This not only defused the KKK Rally, but it also brought the community closer together.

So yeah: sometimes it seems like our country is in turmoil, and nobody can agree on anything. But, when it comes down to it, the fabric of our communities is still strong.
